So if you still have a old version of Windows 10 either in Boot Camp or using a Virtual like Parables or VM Ware you may encounter this odd software block to upgrade the Build to the last build for Windows 10 Version 22H2.
On any web search it will give you a list of rebooting try again, disable Anti Virus the list goes on. On the AI search which is more common than you think on web browsers it claims “This can be caused by a temporary glitch in the Windows Update system” and then points you to the trouble shoot steps to fix this which is rather funny as most people would have tried most of those ideas prior to running a search. What AI will do when it thinks we are not needed any more to reboot them I would love to know.
Anyhow I digress , the quickest way if you have find its stuck on a old build is download the Windows 10 update assistant and run that program.

From here its a waiting game to allow the build download the software then install and finally reboot (knowing Windows that might be more than one reboot).
Hopefully with all that working you do need to check its worked. This is relatively easy, on the start bar go to run and type winver then press enter. Your current version of windows is then displayed. With Version 22H2 as the last build you then have the option to upgrade to windows 11 depending on your Mac status. On the Virtual machines Windows 10 cannot be installed as fresh it insists Windows 11 (Pro) is installed. On legacy virtual I would leave them on Windows 10 you can always make a copy of the OS and use the copy to upgrade to windows 11. For those who have boot camp on a intel machine there is a trick on how to install windows 11 without much fuse.
