When you setup a Watchguard VPN using IKEv2 you will need to download the installer for file to setup the profile for your computer or smart phone. The Watchguard includes it all within a package build. It’s a zip file you just need to unzip it and then located the folder to the Operating System you are using. So in our case you open the MacOS_IOS folder and either double click or right click and install the WG IKEv2.mobileconfig profile.

So in Catalina you could browse and preview EPS files in finder. From Big Sur and above this feature was removed for some reason. You will be pleased to know the fix is rather easy. In short you need to add this string value to a Plist file inside the library Quick Look folder and reboot.

Are you encountering the random logout of VPN using IKEv2 on a WatchGuard running a Silicon Mac on OS Sonoma and above?
This one seems to keep popping up with an issue the Symptoms are VPN IKEv2 cuts you out at 24 min or 48m min. After testing this one on several machines I have found it cuts out on any silicon machine running Sonoma or above from a WatchGuard VPN. As for a fix well it’s a change to the VPN settings in the Watchguard and re deploy the profile to the Mac with the issue.

So you noticed your machine is running slow or Apple Mail suddenly quits. It might be worth looking at your system and seeing how much space you have on the Hard drive. This is easy to do, click on the Apple Icon top left then click about (Monterey and before click on storage) Ventura and above click on more info. This will show you the storage drive and how much data is on the machine. If it is full then don’t panic there are some easy fixes.

Tools you will need:
- USB Memory stick 32GB
- Mac that can run 10.15 or below
- Good Internet Speed
So this one is a little tricky as you need an old machine to setup the installer from. I would recommend a machine that has 10.15 Catalina or below as the Operating System anything more I think you will have an issue trying to download and run the installer. I did try it on a newish machine but when I downloaded the installer it timed out saying the OS would not be able to install. This is due to the machine being to young to run the old OS as the downloader thinks your trying to install say El Capitan to that machine which is why you need a old machine that can handle the old software. I have a old 2012 MacBook Pro which is fine to run the software and as it cannot run any OS higher that Catalina it works fine as the machine to run the terminal command to create the USB installer.
